Grandpa Price - A tribute

10th March 1935 - 27th September 2007

Those who are left behind mourn the passing of a loving, gentle, caring, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, minister and more....

"I'd like to say a few words on behalf of Luke, Michelle, Kimberly and Deanne who couldn't be here today. We all remember Grandpa as a loving, caring and sometimes Grumpy Grandpa. We remember his laughter & hugs, his odd sense of humour and Scottish Wig selection. Mum remembers the great times she had at youth group with Grandpa. But what I remember is his constant words of love, support & words of wisdom that he gave so freely and without expecting anything in return.
Grandpa, I know you're happy and content and where you want to be. We will always remember, we will always love and we will always think of you with a smile on our faces and happiness in our hearts.

Thank you for all that you gave to me throughout my life. Thank you for being my Grandpa"
3rd October 2007.

Grandpa's service was lovely, lots of friends and family travelled from afar to mourn our loss and celebrate his life. The service was conducted by Rev. Iain White, with Tributes from Dad (Anthony - youngest son), Grant (eldest son), Rowena (only daughter), Chris (son in law), Cassie (eldest Grand-daughter mother of 1st greatgrandchild) and my self (2nd eldest grand daughter).
Whilst we will miss him we can thank God that he is now pain free and with Jesus as he has aimed for it all his life!

Grandpa came to my 21st Birthday party (22nd July 2007 - Mawson Club Canberra)

Grandpa perfomed a re-dedication ceremony for Chris and Rowena on the 22nd September.

Grandpa was farwelled for the last time surrounded by family and friends in the Lawn Cemertery in Tuncurry, NSW on the 3rd October 2007.
Rest in Peace and know that we love you.....

New Christmas Idea

My Dear friends,

Christmas is coming and it may take me several years to recover financially
from last Christmas, so I will be making bedroom slippers for all as gifts.

Please let me know your sizes.
You'll most likely agree that it's a
splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the
instructions below:
How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads:
You need four maxi pads to make a pair. Two of them get laid out flat,
for the foot part. The other two wrap around the toe area to form the
top. Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot
part. Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is
most aesthetically appealing), etc.
These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: Regular, Light and Get out the Sand Bags.

21st Birthday Party

Well I was born on the 8th July in 1986 and celebrated my 21st birthday with close friends and family.

Thank you for all thos who could make it, travelled interstate and those who sent their thoughts. I love you MuM!

We decided to throw a Mad Hatters (Funny Hat) party with some showing up in....hats and others showing up in amazing creations!

Melbourne Demons Vs. St Kilda Saints

Well I never actually thought I'd do this then admit to it.
Whilst in Melbourne, we (Leonard, Luke and myself) where able to attend the Saints Vs Demons Game at the MCG on Friday night. Leo and I cheered Luke's team - the Demons.
To start the evening a nice dinner at Luke's recommended Chinese Restaurant, followed by a walk (rather quickly) to the MCG as the trams were packed like sardines in a tin.
Then into the MCG and seated.
Now it's no fault of any of our party but we found ourselves seated above the membership section of the stands....for the Saints.....well I tell ya everytime the Saints scored I felt about 2 feet tall! Never mind...was a great evening.
Following the game was beverages at a little corner cafe.....hmmm beverages.

We also found that in Federation Square is a building that you can text messages to and it will be displayed in lights running across the building fronts....SICK!!!!

Coast Trip - Canberra Long Weekend 2007

I have been replaced

The Slaves came home on Valentine's Day with a squeaky thing they call Jemelia.

They obviously expected me to teach her how things work around here...bloomin nuisance squeaking and carrying on. I had to listen to it all day whilst the slaves were out making money to feed ME. When they let her out I decided to show her who's boss.
I don't get it...I got into trouble... (still trying to figure out what NO means).... I was only letting her know that I am the king and I demand respect.
*SNORT* Sooner or later she'll be out of that room for good and then.....well we shall see.
I will not allow the slaves to think that they have bettered me and replaced me with The Squeak.....

50th Wedding Anniversary

Toffee gets new clothes

Dear Diary,

I swear that woman who calls herself my mother has gone mental. I mean honestly, look at the crap I have to go through with. Do YOU think I look CUTE????
ONe of these days when she leasts expects it (and when she forgets to cut my claws) eh eh ehe he....then I shall have my revenge. But for now I must continue to plot my escape from this prison, this place that THEY call my home.
So many times I have gotten out when they open the doors , and I go futher each time. Darn it though, everytime I get captured and sent back inside. Unless of course it's out theback and Slavedog Bella likes to dob me in. The other day I succeeded and got into the neighbours yard. Silly people yellin and carrying on, I was just exploring.
Bah....the Female creature is yet to feed me and the Male one is on the thing they call the COmputer again. I'm getting the lay of the land by prowling around. perhaps if I meow loud enough they will let me out.

It must wait till another day........

New Addition to the Family

We are proud to annouce and welcome a new member to the Low- Price clan at Castley.

Bella the Lab, Border Collie, Retriever cross has joined our family permenantly. She gets along with Toffee and they are allowed to play together under constant supervision! Bella likes to swim and eat , then play with the hose and growl and Mum and Dad when they aren't playing properly. She also has play dates with her friend Loki.
Her are some of her modelling pictures! Bella turned 1 on the 21st December. It's her "brother" Toffee's birthday soon so Mum and Dad are going to have a joint birthday party.

F*&#^%@ Telstra

Okay deep breath...

On the 11th September 2006, contact was made with Telstra (phone number 133 933) to receive help regarding Bigpond Broadband difficulties. This call was made on the mobile as I was told previously to have the landline clear if I had to call about my account.

For approx 15 mins I was on hold listening to music that was hard to hear and distorted. After being patched through to a gentleman who spoke very little english, and being asked at least three time to repeat my name he told me that the reason why I couldn’t fix my broadband was because my account was inactive. I have had this account since approx January 2006 at a different address. He then proceeded to put me on hold for another 20 mins (more distorted music and more extended periods of silence) to the accounts department.

The gentleman in the accounts department again asked my name and date of birth (I though after 35 mins of phone call they would have it by now) and then proceeded to tell me - taking 10 mins to do so – that there had been a problem transferring my account to my new address. Now, at this stage I was getting annoyed because I had moved to my new address on the 14th July 2006 and arranged for transfer previous to this date. He didn’t apologise but told me it had been fixed and he would transfer me back to the Tech Support department.

Funny thing my call was picked up nearly straight away. Again the gentleman who couldn’t speak a word of english, asked me my details again and couldn’t get my name right after three goes. Sorry to say that I was heading to the really pissed off stage.
For approx another 20 mins he got me to check and recheck (asking me if I entered the right thing three times) if my Internet was working. Keep in mind this guy can’t speak English, I can’t understand him, and he’s getting annoyed at me because he thinks I’m doing something wrong. That aside after a lot of small talk and stuffing around he then had an epiphany, and realised that hey I may need a filter on the phone line.

In all it took 51.30 mins for stupid twits to tell me that
a) THEY stuffed up my transfer
b) I needed to put a filter on my phone line

NOT IMPRESSED

I sent my bill with the letter. We'll see if they pay it eh!

Six month Anniversary

Lord Of The Dance

Not only is he great fun to spend time with - dancing(Ceroc - see another post) but he is...well Leo/Len/Leonard is everything a girl could want. Toffee - Short for Mr Mistoffelees

Toffee the new addition - He's a household Moggie and full of mischief and fun.
We picked him up from the Hall Markets and ever since the new place has been filled with laughter and some shrieks of pain (when he hasn't had his nails cut he is like Edward Scissor Hands!)

Toffee loves to climb up your leg especially when your in the kitchen. He drinks Leo's milk and eats our food. He's really a hooman in disguise!

MY baby,Toffee is growing up...not to mention out. He's taken to chasing moths and lying on the microwave. Too bad I'm no longer in school cos Toffee eats paper and loves cardboard boxes making the excuse of the cat eating the homework very valid.

Well, doesn't time fly. Some more photos of Mr M (Toffee) he's gotten bigger in more ways then one. Still a big bundle of mischief, and still giving us grey hairs. He has a new playmate that has recently joined the family (see Bellas post) and enjoys spending time with her. But he is grounded at the moment for giving us a massive fright and disappearing over the neighbours fence. RATBAG.
For his Christmas present Toffee got a lovely four poster bed. He's turning one soon so a birthday party is in the books (Bella turned one in December so it'll be a joint party
